YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY

So I've been watching the Land Before Time for like the first time in a few years, I think, and I never really noticed before how unusually gender-neutral it is? Is that just me? Like the character designs as much as anything else, they just all look like dinosaurs (with eyelashes, but they're as prominent on Littlefoot as on Cera so wevs), you can't tell which of Littlefoot's grandparents is supposed to be male and which is female when they're not talking. And the main characters themselves are all just little dinosaur individuals as opposed to being defined by gender. And all of them make mistakes and do stupid things without being bad people (or, uh dinosaurs) for it.

IT'S REALLY NICE.
